30something

30SOMETHING
It’s 30something time in space,
time to start the evening’s race
with words and images of self
twirling.
It's 30something dreams that fill
with dread of time that's still there,
still well ahead
time's burning.
The 30something images of self
like bric-a-brac upon the shelf
are me, warts and all,
plain old me.
It's 30something time to die
and bury the bric-a-brac lie
a few intriguing warts
won't do.
Like love maybe all what is left
a mirror of the laid-back self
I would have liked
but never learned to earn it.
It's 30something time to go
a little out of self, you know,
just far enough
to dance upon its grave.
It's 30something time to sing
the death of time, its sting,
and love the song
of life without a name.
It’s 30something time in space,
time to start the evening’s race
with words and images of self
twirling.
It's 30something time to go
a little out of self, you know,
just far enough
to dance upon its grave.
It's 30something time to sing
the death of time, its sting,
and love the song
of life without a name.

All is Right
04:23
|
|||
ALL IS RIGHT
We swam the other day
I dove with you for words I could not find
all in the mind.
Fading colours of my past
so fixed for long,
so bright,
now shading into night.
But yours still forming
like the rays of dawn
your finger on the canvas
waiting for the light,
for the first stroke,
the first bold stroke
of the colours of your life.
And if I fear for you
and lie awake,
and see the dark shapes
through the light,
all is right.
all is, right?
For the fisherman says
- and he should know -
there's no such thing as status quo.
In a stream the other day
we watched the play of things alive and dead,
all in the head.
I pretended the past is a thing alive O,
still deep
in moonlit sleep.
But yours only now
wells in your eyes,
your glance a knife
cleaving the tangled web of cliché
so blithe, so astonishingly blithe,
revolving.
And if I fear for you
and lie awake,
and see the dark shapes
through the light,
all is right.
all is, right?
For the fisherman says
- and he should know -
there's no such thing as status quo.
And if I fear for you
and lie awake,
and see the dark shapes
through the light,
all is right.
all is, right?
For the dying man said
- and he should know -
there's no such thing as status quo.
From nightmare fears
I woke to sanity and lay awake.
Like ghostly writing
in a dream of life I've never lived
or can't recall
now holding me in thrall.
And thoughts of you
like water on my face,
dashed up in mockery
of all my silly vows.
It's only me, but still you'll leap
across the stream from where I roam.
And if I fear for you
and lie awake,
and see the dark shapes
through the light,
all is right.
all is, right?
For the dying man said
- and he should know -
there's no such thing as status quo.

Ciel béant

CIEL BEANT
et me sépare
de ton emprise
Sur la route les heures latentes
sous la voûte d'un ciel béant
s'égoutte le temps qui ruisselle
J'ai oublié son nom

Alizarine Carmine

ALIZARINE CARMINE
Your nicotine mouth on my lips
The yellow shade left in your eyes
And as a compromise
You rock me in your dream for a while
It's such a wondrous life
It's such a wondrous life
Such a wondrous life
Such a marvel
It's such a wondrous life
Alizarine Carmine
Coz in a middle of a dream
You wouldn't just believe it could be over
If I could paint with a colour memories that I host
Like a warm breeze on a barren coast
It's such a wondrous life
It's such a wondrous life
Such a wondrous life
Such a marvel
It's such a wondrous life
Alizarine Carmine
An extra blanket on my bed
With waving sorrows left instead
Of your lushing sighs
Waving back with a sorry smile
Another hero on the edge
While smiling faced with a crumbled pledge
In time will get to know there's no tomorrow
If could paint with a colour memories that I host
Like a warm breeze on a barren coast
It's such a wondrous life
It's such a wondrous life
Such a wondrous life
Such a marvel
Yes, Such a wondrous life

La peau d'Hélène
03:22
|
|||

03:03
|
|||

Summer Rain
03:43
|
|||
This song was written during the Israeli military operation called - for some incomprehensible and cynical reason - "Summer Rain" in June-July 2006. It was the first major military operation against the population of Gaza since the Israeli settlers had left in 2005. It left over 200 Gaza Palestinians dead, among them 44 children. Since then there have been several further military assaults of a much larger scale of death, injuries and destruction. Needless to say, I dedicate this song to the people of Gaza with much love.
SUMMER RAIN
Two pictures haunt my mind
like holograms that come and go
before my eyes
The one a boy a man a park a ball
a dappled green beside a pond
Like in a film or in a dream
without a sound
But opening wide a curtain in the sky
to show the march of human kind
The man the boy the ball the green of life from eons past
who kicks the man kicks the man kicks the ball kicks the ball away
As patient as a rock the man stands waiting for the boy
Summer rain
summer rain over Gaza
summer rain oh summer rain
summer rain over Gaza
Except for bloody mist that hangs up in the air
about the place where she had stood
yet why should I remember her
Who stood upon a beach
and simply waved a bangle in her hair
yet why should I remember her
Summer rain
summer rain over Gaza
summer rain oh summer rain
summer rain over Gaza
Two pictures haunt my mind
like holograms that come and go
before my eyes
And when I see the one the man the boy I see them all
and when I march for all I see the girl
yet why should I remember her
oh why should I remember her
Summer rain
summer rain over Gaza
summer rain oh summer rain
summer rain over Gaza

My insanity
02:57
|
|||
MY INSANITY
My dream my reality
That's what you are
My health my insanity
Baby you can drive my car
I work, I eat, I run
Hours spent in the sun
Lightheaded, lighthearted
Nothing else to blame, just hasn't been the same
Since we have parted
Just monkeys, like monkeys
grooming each other
Having no bother
Searching through your heart
The key
Now what have I done
And where have you gone my love
What can we do to save the light
We'll end up
We'll end up
We'll end up in a zoo
Silence in my dreams
Words fail reality
Searching for other means
While all I try to do, is hide from you
My Insanity

Les yeux le disent
04:07
|

Mistletoe wrap
04:27
|

Christmas song
MISTLETOE WRAP
Shop window lights
children’s delight
fairyland of things
Bag full of gifts
tight in your fists
again the season brings
Oh you can buy me the world in a mistletoe wrap
you can light up the tallest tree
but what I, what I want on Christmas morn
is your Christmas love for me
Carrols ring out
santas about
shoppers ticking theirs lists
make up your mind
what’s yet to find
so little time to please
Now you can buy me the world in a mistletoe wrap
you can light up the tallest tree
but what I, what I want on Christmas morn
is your Christmas love for me
[dialogue]
In dark of night
a star so bright
rises for all to see
shepherds awake
the clear dawn breaks
a newborn world is here
Now you can buy me the world in a mistletoe wrap
you can light up the tallest tree
but what I, what I want on Christmas morn
is your Christmas love for me
Well you can buy me the world in a mistletoe wrap
you can light up the tallest tree
but what I, what I want on Christmas morn
is your Christmas love for me

Darkness to Light
03:45
|
|||
Christmas song
DARKNESS TO LIGHT
Darkness to light
water to wine
winter to spring
evil to grace
Christ in the miracle
for the human race
Pilgrim man upon the plain
what the purpose of his pain
why the hunger in his breast
for more than wheat
for more than shelter from the beast
Pilgrim woman burdened low
what the promise here below
For more than life
for tribal strife
Darkness to light
water to wine
winter to spring
evil to grace
Christ in the miracle
for the human race
Pilgrim children mouths to feed
why play this game of greed
of I have more
of I can slam the door
of I can’t face tomorrow
Wise men have come
following their star
let joy ring out
from near and far
Christ in the miracle
for the human race
What’s the word from stable birth
bolt of lightning struck the earth
what infant hand that can
frame the symmetry of man
Darkness to light
water to wine
winter to spring
evil to grace
Christ in the miracle
of jesus divine
Christ in the miracle
for the human race
